A dog exclusion zone applies at all times to parts of this reserve, which is a bird roosting area. The bird observatory is worth a look while you are there.
Walkways run north to The Esplanade and Ōmokoroa Domain, passing a bird viewing platform, and south to Tauranga along the cycleway.
